Carmela Walrond is an experienced Tax Attorney and Tax Accountant, who has helped her clients save millions of dollars in back taxes through a variety of methods including the IRS Offer In Compromise program, penalty abatement, and Audit representation. Carmela is also licensed to practice in federal and state Tax Court as well as bankruptcy court (Chapter 7). She has handled cases for individuals and small businesses throughout New York and New Jersey.
Prior to joining JLD Tax Resolution Group, Carmela was the managing partner at Walrond Tax Resolution PLLC and before that held positions in the tax department of Deloitte, KPMG and CIT Group.
Carmela’s interest in tax began when she was a junior in college and was a volunteer for the VITA (Volunteer Income Tax Assistance) program in Newark, NJ, which helped prepare tax returns for low-income taxpayers.
